Halfbreed Blades' new Compact Clearance Knife, the CCK-02 has just been released on the market.
Following on from the success of their spear pointed compact clearance knife the CCK-01, Halfbreed Blades have answered the requests for the option of a Tanto style blade with the new CCK-02.
Featuring Japanese inspired blade geometry and superior tip strength the CCK-02 is a multi-purpose compact clearance tool designed for fast access, just like the popular CCK-01.
The modified Tanto point design of the CCK-02 produces increased strength at the blade point for aggressive piercing and precision cutting and the single plain polished cutting edge is razor sharp. The blade also features a live edge identifier at the three quarter mark to help the user orientate the cutting edge by feel alone.
The ergonomically contoured ring pull handle design makes for a fast draw and provides a good positive grip while the concave thumb recess at the top of the ring allows the user to apply maximum downward thrust.
Sporting a hard-wearing, low friction Teflon coating and made from Austrian made 6mm Bohler K110 (D2) tool steel in a full tang construction, the CCK-02 is overbuilt for durability and a heavy workload.
The CCK-02 comes complete with its own injection molded single column PALS/MOLLE compatible sheath and is available in black, dark earth and ranger green colour options. with an optional trainer version also available.
