NEW HALFBREED BLADES MEDIUM CLEARANCE KNIFE - MCK-02
The newly released Halfbreed Blades' Medium Clearance Knife (MCK-02) is a tough, fixed blade tool packing quite a bit of punch.
Designed with both the military and extreme outdoor enthusiast in mind, the MCK-02 is mid sized. Measuring 235mm overall and weighing 309g, Halfbreed Blades have concentrated on delivering a real balance between size, weight, strength and cutting power to produce a tough, utilitarian multi function tool.
Its full tang construction is made from Austrian made 6.5mm Bohler K110 (D2) tool steel for plenty of strength and durability and finishes in a crusher pommel perfect for hammering, smashing and crushing tasks.
For cutting power, the MCK-02 features a plain polished recurve primary cutting edge which ends in a highly utilitarian modified drop point. Together these make the knife highly adept at heavy use cutting tasks and both are finished in a protective Teflon coating to reduce friction and glare, and increase durability and blade longevity.
As with other recent Halfbreed Blade designs the hand guard size has been increased to protect the user from the razor sharp cutting edge. Jimping at key points (including forward of the handle) acts as a live edge identifier protecting the user against the blade in low light/no light environments and also helps to provide precise control when applying downward strokes or pressure.
The entire perimeter of the hard wearing G10 handle scales is machine beveled to achieve maximum grip bare handed and the scales are contoured for maximum comfort and less abrasion.
The MCK-02 is available in Black, Dark Earth and Ranger Green options and comes with a precision moulded Kydex sheath ready for belt mounting.
