UPGRADED INFANTRY TANTO IN BOHLER K340 STEEL

Halfbreed Blades have just restocked and upgraded their Tanto Medium Infantry Knife to a new Bohler K340 tool steel blade.

Upgrading the MIK-05P to BOHLER K340 ISODUR tool steel brings a new level of extreme durability and shock resistance to their tried and tested fixed Tanto blade.

The MIK-05 was specially designed for the medium field knife role for Special Forces and specialist Law Enforcement/Security operators and incorporates a host of features and boasts outstanding handling characteristics.

Overall the full tang constructed MIK-05P (plain edge) is 299mm in length with 170mm of the blade exposed.

The blade design features a polished cutting edge with a modified tanto point optimal for piercing, prying and slicing and there is also a partially serrated version available as the MIK-05PS model.

The MIK-05 features an extra-large handguard which affords greater control of the blade and prevents injury to the user. Jimping at key points along the tang, including forward of the G10 handle scales also enhances the MIK-05's handling, especially when applying downwards force.

Finishing off the MIK-05's construction is a crusher pommel, ideal for smashing and breaking, and modern design lanyard hole.

Focus on comfort and positive grip is a feature of the MIK-05 with its G10 handle scales specially faceted and contoured to suit both gloved and bare handed operators.

The MIK-05P is available in a range of duo tone colour options:
- BLK/DE: Black Teflon coated tool with DE G10 scales and Black Kydex sheath;
- BLK/ODG: Black Teflon coated tool with OD Green G10 scales and Black Kydex sheath;
- DE/BLK: DE Teflon coated tool with Black G10 scales and DE Kydex sheath;
- DE/ODG: DE Teflon coated tool with OD Green G10 scales and DE Kydex sheath;
- ODG/BLK: OD Green Teflon coated tool with Black G10 scales and OD Green Kydex sheath; and
- ODG/DE: OD Green Teflon coated tool with DE G10 scales and OD Green Kydex sheath.
