HALFBREED BLADES' ULTIMATE FIELD KNIFE - THE LIK-01
HALFBREED BLADES have just released their 'ultimate field knife' the LIK-01.
With their LIK-01 (Large Infantry Knife) Halfbreed Blades offers a new interpretation of the classic clip point blade, enhancing it with many features to produce a knife that can be a true workhorse of a tool.
Featuring a one piece full tang construction from 6.5mm Austrian Bohler K110 (D2) tool steel, like all HBB designs the LIK-01 is deliberately overbuilt to produce a rugged tool with excellent longevity.
With its modified clip point the LIK-01 excels at prying, piercing and slicing and its razor-sharp polished cutting edge (with partial serrations) is easily maintained. A Teflon coating minimises blade-glare and friction as well as preventing corrosion, and while the weight reducing blade fuller is well defined there is no compromise in the LIK01's strength.
Designed for precise control, the LIK-01 features an extra large hand guard and jimping at key points along the tang to improve user 'feel' and prevent personal injury when applying downward force.
The G10 handle scales are Torx fixed and extra attention has been paid to contouring the scales to make them less abrading when using the knife bare-handed.
Topping off the LIK-01 is a crusher pommel (with lanyard holes) which is well suited to smashing, hammering and tasks like breaking glass.
The Large Infantry Knife comes with its own precision molded Kydex sheath which attaches with a belt carry system.
Whilst specifically designed a dedicated Infantry tool, the new LIK-01 is also finding a lot of favour with outdoor/adventure enthusiasts due to its rugged, multi-featured design.
